Winner of Startup Competition in IoT Solution World Congress

Established in Jan. 2022, the daughter company TEGmat ApS was presented for the first time to the public in the Startup Competition in Barcelona. TEGmat was one of the five finalist and won the title of the Winner after a live pitch in front of five international judges.

As the newest member of the “TEG” company family, TEGmat will focus on more basic research and development of thermal energy harvesting materials and components.

The two companies are supplementing each other, but the visions are different:

TEGmat – Make industrial scale thermal energy harvesting profitable.

TEGnology – Rethink power supply for future IoT.

Back to the classrooms with future entrepreneurs

Together with founders and CEOs from other hi-tech startup companies, Hao served as a judge for the master students from iNANO, Aarhus University, pitching their entrepreneurial ideas rooted in deep nanoscience.  It was an intense competition, full of energy and enthusiasm to make the world a better place.

Changing positions from someone who pitches ideas to a judge, Hao feels excited and fulfilled. It was also rewarding to share his personal experience to inspire the future entrepreneurs.

“Connecting the North – Inventing the Future”

Hamburg Copenhagen Startup Forum (HCSF)

TEGnology had been selected by the German-Danish Chamber of Commerce to participate the first event in the newly established Hamburg Copenhagen Start-up Forum (HCSF). HCSF promotes cooperation between start-ups, venture capitals, economic promotion agencies and corporates.

The event was followed by a panel discussion including Christian Jølck (Partner 2150), Christian Schad (Partner Planet A), Martin Neubert (Deputy CEO of Ørsted) and Jakob Gaard (Plug&Play), who elaborated on the changing investment landscape and gave recommendations to the start-ups on how to approach the different options there are. A great event with a lot of take aways for TEGnology in form of new connections and awareness.
